Soft tissue therapy is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of the soft tissues including muscles, tendons and ligaments. Pain and movement dysfunction caused by these structures are treated using massage, stretching, dry needling and myofascial cupping. This could be an injury, general tension, or simply a maintenance treatment to keep injuries at bay.
Conditions treated
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) massage uses a very light pressure with gentle rhythmic strokes to increase the flow and drainage of the lymphatic system, reducing inflammation and speeding up recovery. The immune system is strengthened, helping the body heal faster.

It is called ‘Myofascial’ cupping because its therapeutic effects work primarily by stretching the superficial layers of fascia. This breaks up adhesions in the tissue, and re-aligns the integral structure of the fascia. The vacuum effect of the cups stimulates faster healing by increasing circulation and draining away harmful toxins within the area.

BodyFix is run by Georgina, a highly trained Sports Massage therapist with extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal pain of all kinds. After qualifying to the highest level of Sports and Remedial Massage, Georgina went on to work as a soft tissue therapist around the world. She has extensive experience treating a wide range of physical ailments working with watersports professionals, physiotherapy clinics, and hospitals, allowing her to gain extensive experience of a wide range of physical dysfunctions.
Georgina has also trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Dry Needling, and Dry Cupping therapy. So whether you are recovering from an injury or looking for relief from tight muscles and stiff joints, she will use a combination of techniques specific to your needs. Her tailored treatments work within your body's limits to reduce pain and improve movement; giving effective, long lasting results.
